The Group Held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Its Large-scale Project of Zhaoyuan Binhai Artificial Island with 10.9 Billion Yuan

At 10:08, on Dec. 29, 2014, Zhonggang Construction Group Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking ceremony for its project of Binhai Artificial Island. The participants of the ceremony include: the members of municipal leadership of Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province, such as Zhang Wei, Wang Guangyao, Lin Jiandong, Xu Linhong, Hao Yongping, Zhao Shuguang and Ma Lihai, the high-rank directors of Zhonggang Construction Group Co., Ltd. such as Chairman Cheng Biao, Deputy Chairman Qin Gaoju, Vice-president Cui Dafan and Huang Bo, the responsible persons of contract builder of the project, China Technical Import and Export Corporation, the persons chiefly in charge of districts of Zhaoyuan and the members of the headquarters of Artificial Island as well as the units concerned.
Wang Guangyao, Mayor of Zhaoyuan made a speech at the ceremony, highlighting that the groundbreaking ceremony of the project would make a further step of blue economic development in Zhaoyuan and would open a new chapter for the large-scale development and construction of Binhai New Area. Mr. Cheng, Chairman of Zhonggang Construction Group Co., Ltd. pointed out in his address that the group company had invested a total of 10.9 billion yuan. After the project is completed, there would be two off-shore islands in the south and north. The implementation of the project will further promote the idea of “construction finance” advocated by Zhonggang Construction Group. The group company would make innovations in the investment and financing system and play its role in the urban infrastructural construction under the guidance of the government and by means of the market operation and enterprise facilitation.
The project was announced to start by Zhang Wei, Municipal Party Secretary and Director of the standing committee of Municipal People’s Congress. The groundbreaking ceremony was hosted by Hao Yongping, a member of the standing committee of municipal party committee and executive vice-mayor. After Binhai Artificial Island is completed, there will be 1,800 Mu of the urban development land and the coastline will be extended more than 40km. Definitely, it will have a profound and extensive influence on relieving the bottleneck constraint of land effectively, further playing its role more efficiently as the strategic facilitator of ‘two districts and one belt”, fully accelerating blue economy and actively participating in the Maritime Silk Road.
